Shahid Khaqan Abbasi Criticizes Shahbaz Sharif’s Talks Offer as Political Point Scoring

Abbasi clarified that the party is not focusing on gathering electables, while Ismail confirmed the formal announcement of their political party next month.
Islamabad: Awam Pakistan Party convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has dismissed Shahbaz Sharif’s offer of talks to the opposition as mere political point scoring.
In an interview with Hum News, Abbasi, the former Prime Minister, asserted that Imran Khan, the PTI founder, is receiving the same prison facilities as common prisoners. He mentioned that Khan is held in a prison barrack designed during his own tenure, a separate section within the death penalty barracks.
Abbasi criticized all major political parties in Pakistan for their inability to solve the country’s pressing issues. Reflecting on his 35-year tenure with the PML-N, he acknowledged his responsibility for both the party’s successes and failures. He condemned the misuse of NAB for political purposes, highlighting the false cases and press conferences targeting him and his colleagues.
Emphasizing the need for economic reform and instilling hope in the younger generation, Abbasi stated the importance of adhering to the constitution. He shared that the registration process for Awam Pakistan is underway, with contacts being established across various sectors.
