Security Forces Kill Seven Militants in Hangu Operation

HANGU: (Web Desk) – Seven militants were killed while a police officer was martyred during a major joint operation conducted in Hangu by the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD), police, and other security forces.

District Police Officer Tariq Habib stated that multiple militant hideouts were successfully dismantled in the areas of Bagtu Top Sarki and Chamba Gul during the operation. Security personnel, including members of the Al-Baraq Force, engaged the militants in intense combat, effectively countering their resistance.

Six TTP Terrorists Killed in CTD Operation

The DPO reaffirmed the commitment of law enforcement agencies to eliminate terrorism and foil any malicious plans by extremist elements.

Funeral prayers for the martyred police officer were held at the Police Lines, where colleagues and officials paid their respects to his sacrifice.

Separately, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the efforts of the police and security forces for carrying out a successful operation against Fitna al-Khwarij militants in Hangu.

In his statement, the minister commended the professionalism and bravery demonstrated by the personnel involved, highlighting the elimination of seven terrorists. He also honored the fallen officer, paying tribute to his ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

Mohsin Naqvi further expressed his wishes for the swift recovery of the injured officer involved in the operation.
