Gilgit-(Musab Khaliq)-Senior journalist Shabbir Ahmed Mir has been appointed as the Spokesperson to the Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan. A formal notification regarding his appointment has been issued by the Gilgit-Baltistan Secretariat.
According to the notification, the appointment has been made under the Gilgit-Baltistan Rules of Business 2009. Shabbir Ahmed Mir will assume his responsibilities with immediate effect at the Chief Minister’s Office.

He will serve as Spokesperson during the tenure of the Caretaker Chief Minister and will be a Special Assistant to the Chief Minister, along with other admissible privileges.
Shabbir Ahmed Mir is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience covering political and regional affairs of Gilgit-Baltistan. His appointment is seen as a move to strengthen the government’s communication and media outreach.
