ISLAMABAD: Senator Faisal Vawda has submitted a second reply in the Supreme Court, seeking an unconditional apology in the contempt of court case against him. In his written response, Senator Vawda expressed utmost respect for the judiciary and referenced Islamic teachings, emphasizing unity even when opposed to close relations.

Citing Quranic verses and hadiths, Senator Vawda earnestly apologized, urging the Supreme Court to withdraw the show cause notice issued in the contempt case. The case, scheduled to be heard by a panel of three judges led by Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faiz Isa on June 28, focuses on allegations stemming from a press conference that may have affected the judiciary’s dignity.
