RAWALPINDI: In two separate operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan’s security forces successfully eliminated nine Indian-supported terrorists, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported.
The first operation took place in Tank district, where intelligence-led action targeted a hideout of the banned terrorist group Fitna al-Khawarij. A fierce exchange of gunfire resulted in the deaths of seven terrorists, with weapons and ammunition recovered from the scene.
The second operation occurred in Lakki Marwat, where two terrorists were killed during another intelligence-based raid. The eliminated terrorists were reportedly involved in multiple acts of terrorism in the region.

ISPR stated that clearance operations will continue in the affected areas to dismantle terrorist networks completely, emphasizing that the mission to eliminate terrorism from Pakistan will persist until fully achieved.
President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi praised the security forces for their professionalism and timely action. They lauded the forces for foiling the terrorists’ plans and reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
