Security forces arrest three Fitna facilitators Karachi

Joint Rangers, CTD operation in Karachi arrests facilitators, seizes explosives, foils planned terrorist attacks, investigation continues for wider network ahead.

Karachi – (Web Desk) – The Pakistan Rangers Sindh and the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) arrested three facilitators linked to Fitna al-Hindustan during a joint intelligence-based operation in Karachi.

The operation was carried out in the Chakra Goth area, where the suspects were taken into custody and identified as Yasir Arafat, Khuda Bukhsh, and Zahid Hussain, also known as Barakzai.

During the raid, officials recovered five kilograms of explosives, three detonators, one kilogram of ball bearings, 250 booklets containing extremist material, and laptops. According to authorities, the suspects had hidden the explosives at a secret location and were planning to use them to carry out terrorist attacks on sensitive sites in the city.

Security officials said further investigation is underway to uncover their network and prevent any planned attacks.

A spokesman of the Pakistan Rangers said that all these terrorists were handed over to the police for further legal proceedings.

Earlier in January 2026, law enforcement agencies in Karachi have thwarted a major terrorist plot through a timely operation, recovering a large quantity of explosives and arresting three suspected terrorists.

Addressing a press conference, Additional Inspector General of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Zulfiqar Lark and Deputy Inspector General Ghulam Azfar Mahesar said a raid was conducted in Rais Goth on Karachi’s outskirts following intelligence reports about the presence of terrorists in the area.
