Islamabad-(Mudassar Iqbal): A second bank robbery has struck Islamabad today, leading to one fatality and multiple injuries. The incident unfolded in Sector G-9/4, where armed robbers targeted an Askari Bank vehicle making a cash delivery to a National Bank branch.
Reports indicate that the robbers, wearing helmets, opened fire on security personnel before fleeing with a bag of cash. Two security guards and three employees of a nearby hotel were injured in the crossfire. Tragically, one hotel employee later passed away at PIMS hospital.
This incident comes on the heels of a similar robbery in Sector G-15 yesterday, where a security guard lost his life. Additionally, a separate attack in Sector I-9 saw a bank van fired upon, leaving one security guard injured.
