Army Chief Meets Commander of Bahrain National Guard at GHQ

Islamabad: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, commonly known as MBS, extended warm congratulations to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on assuming office during a telephonic conversation.

In their exchange, the Saudi Crown Prince underscored the deep-rooted and brotherly ties between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. He reiterated the importance of the strong relationship shared by the two nations.

Expressing gratitude for the well wishes, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif conveyed his appreciation to the Saudi Crown Prince on his official X account. He also extended prayers for the health and prosperity of King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

Highlighting the historical and unwavering friendship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, Prime Minister Shehbaz emphasized the mutual support and solidarity both nations have shown each other through thick and thin.

In his tweet, Prime Minister Shehbaz wished the Saudi government and people a blessed Ramadan, hoping for peace and prosperity for Muslims worldwide during this sacred month. Additionally, he extended an invitation to the Crown Prince to visit Pakistan at his earliest convenience.

PM Shehbaz assured MbS of a warm welcome from the people of Pakistan, expressing the nation’s eagerness to greet him with open arms.

Army Chief & Bahrain National Guard Commander Discuss Bilateral Military Cooperation

General Shaikh Mohamed bin Isa bin Salman Al-Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain, paid a visit to General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), at the General Headquarters (GHQ).

During the meeting, the focus was on bolstering bilateral military cooperation between Pakistan and Bahrain. Both leaders engaged in discussions regarding various matters of mutual interest, including regional security dynamics, counter-terrorism efforts, and exchange programs for training.

COAS highlighted Pakistan’s deep-rooted defense, diplomatic, and economic relations with the Kingdom of Bahrain, emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to strengthening military ties with Bahrain. He stressed the significance of collaborative efforts in addressing common security challenges and fostering peace and stability in the region.

In response, the Bahraini National Guard Commander commended Pakistan’s relentless efforts in combating terrorism and extremism. He acknowledged the professionalism and dedication exhibited by the Pakistan Army, reaffirming Bahrain’s dedication to furthering cooperation with Pakistan in defense and security domains.
