Saudi Arabia Plans $1B Sky Stadium Inside The Line
World’s first floating stadium set to rise inside NEOM’s vertical city, The Line, ahead of the 2034 FIFA World Cup.
Saudi Arabia – (Special / Web Desk) – Saudi Arabia is taking sports to new heights—literally. The country is planning a $1 billion stadium that will float 1,150 feet above the ground inside its futuristic vertical city, The Line, part of the NEOM mega-project.
Set to be completed by 2032, the stadium is designed by world-famous architects Bjarke Ingels Group. It will seat up to 46,000 fans and is expected to host matches during the 2034 FIFA World Cup. What makes it even more unique? There will be no roads around it. Instead, fans will arrive using high-speed elevators and self-driving AI-powered vehicles.

Built with sustainability in mind, the stadium will run on solar and wind energy. This isn’t just about sports—Saudi Arabia wants to create a smart, green future where technology and entertainment come together in bold new ways.
With no other stadium like it in the world, this floating arena is one of the most ambitious projects ever planned. If successful, it could redefine how we think about live events, city planning, and sustainable design.
From sci-fi dream to reality, Saudi Arabia’s sky-high stadium is gearing up to change the game—literally and figuratively.
