Saudi Arabia bans Umrah visa holders from entering after 15th Shawwal

This new circular has been officially issued to all airlines operating flights to the Kingdom.

RIYADH: The Saudi government has imposed a new restriction on Umrah visa holders, here on Sunday.

As per the latest directive, passengers holding Umrah visas will no longer be allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia after the 15th of Shawwal every year.

Saudi aviation authorities have issued strict instructions to all international airlines, warning them to comply without exception.

Airlines have been clearly advised not to allow boarding to Umrah visa holders after this date.

The Saudi Civil Aviation Authority stated that any violation of this rule will result in legal action against both the passengers and the airline under Saudi aviation laws.
