Sarfraz Bugti Proposes Limiting 4G Services in Balochistan

Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti stated that he would bring the decision to restrict 4G services to the Assembly, citing concerns that terrorists are exploiting these telecommunication services.

Bugti referred to the Balochistan attack on August 26 as one of the deadliest and described it as a “well-organized conspiracy” against the state.

“There are individuals within the government apparatus who accept bribes and support terrorists, and we are profiling such people,” he asserted.

No Need for a Grand Operation

The Chief Minister emphasized that there is no necessity for a large-scale operation, and security forces would instead focus on intelligence-based operations (IBOs).

“These are not just disgruntled Baloch but terrorists,” he stated. “We will protect citizens by setting up check posts,” Bugti added, noting that there are judicial voices opposing the establishment of these check posts.
