Sarfaraz Ahmed Reflects on ‘Proud’ Nine-Year Journey with Quetta Gladiators

ISLAMABAD: Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed announced the end of his nine-year journey with Quetta Gladiators in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) on Sunday, sharing a heartfelt message with his fans. The wicketkeeper-batsman expressed his pride and gratitude for his time with the franchise, highlighting the memories and experiences that made his tenure special.

Taking to social media, Ahmed wrote, “I would like to tell you that my journey with Quetta Gladiators has come to an end. My journey with the team has remained exceptional and beautiful.” He went on to thank Gladiators’ owner, Nadeem Omar, for the opportunity to represent the team, saying, “I would like to express my gratitude to Nadeem Omar for providing me with an opportunity to play in his team.”

Sarfaraz Ahmed acknowledged the support he received from the franchise, noting that Quetta Gladiators had provided him with every opportunity to succeed both as a player and a captain. “Quetta Gladiators had provided me with every opportunity, which was required of me as both the player and captain,” he said.

Reflecting on his time with the team, Ahmed stated, “I will remember every moment I made with Quetta Gladiators,” emphasizing the lasting impact the franchise had on his career. He concluded by extending his best wishes to the team, saying, “I will always extend my best wishes to the team.”
