Imran Mirza dismisses baseless speculation, clarifies Sania has never met the Indian cricketer
NEW DELHI: Former Indian tennis star Sania Mirza’s father, Imran Mirza, has strongly reacted to rumours of his daughter’s second marriage with Indian cricketer Mohammad Shami.
Recently, Indian media started circulating rumours about Sania Mirza and fast bowler Mohammad Shami getting married in the future. These rumours began when edited pictures of Shami with Sania were uploaded on social media, showing Shami as a bride.
The reports claimed that Shami and Sania were planning to get married in August. However, both individuals did not respond to these rumours until now.
Imran Mirza, speaking to Indian media, clarified that the rumours are baseless, stating that Sania has never even met Mohammad Shami.
Talking to NDTV, Imran said that the rumours are “rubbish”. He said, “This is all rubbish. She has not even met him.”
Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami is also separated from his wife Hasin Jahan.
It’s important to note that Sania Mirza is the ex-wife of Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik. The couple has a son, Izhan Mirza Malik, who lives with his mother. Sania Mirza’s father confirmed her divorce from Shoaib Malik earlier this year.
