Salman Khan Breaks Silence on Allegations of Sabotaging Careers in Bollywood

The actor responds to long-standing industry accusations during a candid moment on Bigg Boss 19

MUMBAI: Bollywood megastar Salman Khan has addressed persistent allegations that he has played a role in derailing the careers of certain individuals in the film industry. Speaking during the latest episode of Bigg Boss 19, the actor firmly dismissed such claims as baseless.

The moment came when host Shahnaz Gill reintroduced her brother Shahbaz Badisha as a wild card contestant. In her interaction with Khan, Gill suggested that the actor, known for mentoring fresh talent, could similarly help shape her brother’s career. In response, Khan offered a rare and candid clarification.

“I am not responsible for making or ruining anyone’s career,” the 58-year-old said. “People often accuse me of destroying lives in the industry, but in reality, I cannot even ruin my own. The one above decides everything.”

Khan emphasized that success in the entertainment industry is determined by individual merit and fate—not by the influence of one person. “It’s about talent, hard work, and destiny,” he added.

However, the superstar has also faced criticism and controversy, with some alleging that his influence has negatively impacted certain careers.

By addressing the controversy head-on, Khan appeared to distance himself from the narrative that he wields unchecked power in Bollywood, reinforcing his belief that ultimately, careers are shaped by forces beyond any one individual’s control.
