Salman Ali Agha Sets World Record for Most International Matches in a Calendar Year
The most recent cricketer to come close was New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, who played 51 matches in 2023.
RAWALPINDI: Pakistan’s T20 captain Salman Ali Agha has set a new world record by playing the most international matches in a single calendar year.
By featuring in all 56 international matches Pakistan played in 2025, Salman surpassed global cricket greats such as Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, and Mohammad Yousuf.
Pakistan have played more international games than any other team this year, and Salman is the only player to appear in every one of them.

This milestone was first achieved in 1997 by India’s Sachin Tendulkar, who became the first cricketer to cross 50 matches in a single year. The most recent cricketer to come close was New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, who played 51 matches in 2023.
