Sajid Khan Ruled Out of England Tour: Here’s Why!
Sajid is expected to return to Pakistan on the first available flight.
LONDON – Pakistan Shaheens suffered a setback ahead of their England tour as national team spinner Sajid Khan has been ruled out due to injury, the team confirmed on Tuesday.
According to team sources, Sajid Khan sustained a fracture in his right thumb during a practice session. Following medical assessment, it was decided that he would be sent back home for treatment and recovery.
Sajid is expected to return to Pakistan on the first available flight. As of now, team management has not requested a replacement for the injured spinner.
Despite the setback, the tour continues as scheduled. The first One Day International (ODI) between Pakistan Shaheens and the Professional County Club is set to be played today in Buckingham.
