Sahibzada Farhan Nominated ICC Men’s Player February

Sahibzada Farhan Breaks T20 World Cup Record, Earns ICC Nod

DUBAI (Web Desk)– Pakistan opening batsman Sahibzada Farhan has been nominated for the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award for February 2026.

He faces competition from England all-rounder Will Jacks and United States fast bowler Shadley van Schalkwyk.

Farhan, the highest run-scorer at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, had a remarkable month for Pakistan. The right-handed opener broke the record for most runs in a single edition of the tournament, surpassing Virat Kohli’s previous best of 319 runs from 2014. Farhan finished with 383 runs at a strike rate of 160.25 and an average of 76.60, according to the ICC.

He also made history by scoring two centuries in the tournament, the first batter ever to do so in a single edition, with his hundreds coming against Namibia and Sri Lanka.

Farhan’s performances were instrumental in helping Pakistan reach the Super 8s stage, although they narrowly missed out on a semi-final berth.

In women’s cricket, Harshitha Samarawickrama, Pakistan captain Fatima Sana, and India seam bowler Arundhati Reddy have been shortlisted for the ICC Women’s Player of the Month award.
