Sports: SAF National Physical Disability T20 Cricket: Multan, Quetta enjoy second win Physical disability cricket teams of Multan and Quetta won their matches on the second day of the Shahid Afridi Foundation National Physical Disability T20 Cricket Championship. The teams of Hyderabad and Karachi were defeated on the second day of the ongoing championship at the Rashid Latif Academy Cricket Ground in collaboration with the Shahid Afridi Foundation and the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association. First match on Tuesday Quetta defeated Hyderabad by 9 wickets. Hyderabad scored 112 runs for nine wickets while batting first. Wasim Ahmed scored 32 runs with the help of four fours from 32 balls and Hamza Hameed scored 27 runs with the help of five fours. Mithal Khan, Ali Gajzai and Ayaz Hamad took two wickets each, while Nizamuddin and Muhammad Ibrahim took one wicket each. In response, Quetta scored 113 runs for the loss of one wicket and won by nine wickets.Hafeezullah scored 53and remained unbeaten while Nusratullah scored 37 runs with the help of six fours and one six. The special guest of this match was PPDCA Acting Chairman Imran Balwani who gave the player of the match award to Hafeezullah. PPDCA Regional Head Baluchistan Aslam Brech, Wasal Ansari, Asim Rizvi and others were also present. In the second match, Multan defeated Karachi by five wickets, Karachi scored 112 runs for the loss of eight wickets playing first, Umar Farooq made 42 from 34 balls with the help of three fours, Waheed Khan scored 22 and Rao Javed scored 15 runs. From Multan, Zubair Saleem took three wickets for 14 runs while Malik Jahanzeb, Muhammad Tariq and Umiz Rehman got one wicket each. In reply, Multan scored 113 runs for five wickets in 13.2 overs and won by five wickets. Matloob Qureshi was the top scorer by scoring 39 runs off 31 balls with three fours, while Muhammad Zaman Ali scored 27 runs and Abdul Manan scored 17 runs. Rao Javed and Anas Altaf took two wickets each. Asim Rizvi, Assistant Coach, Karachi Region, was the chief guest of the second match who gave the man of the match award to Zubair Saleem of Multan. This was the second consecutive man of the match award for Zubair Saleem. Tournament Director and Secretary General Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association Amiruddin Ansari, Head Multan Bahawalpur Region Jameel Kamran, Haris Ayaz, Manzoor Latifi, Media Manager Muhammad Nizam and others were also present. Two more matches will be played today on the third day of the championship. Multan will face Quetta in the first match and Hyderabad will face Karachi in the second match.
