Sabah Karim Khan’s Book “Home #itscomplicated” Launched at Pakistan Embassy in Abu Dhabi

Ambassador Tirmizi commended the literary initiative for showcasing the soft image of Pakistan

Abu Dhabi, April 28 (APP) – The Embassy of Pakistan in Abu Dhabi hosted a literary evening to mark the launch of “Home #itscomplicated,” a compelling new book edited by Sabah Karim Khan. The event brought together prominent Pakistani writers, thinkers, diplomats, and members of the expatriate community in a celebration of storytelling, identity, and belonging.

Ambassador Faisal Niaz Tirmizi graced the occasion and paid tribute to the contributors of the book, which is a thought-provoking collection of essays penned by celebrated Pakistani voices including Khalid Anam, Omar Shahid Hamid, Awais Khan, Ali Khan, and Muhammad Ali Bandial, among others.

The event featured a panel discussion moderated by Khurram Koraishy, with insightful contributions from panelists Zain Saeed, Amber Zaffar Khan, and Sabah Karim Khan. The panel highlighted the emotional and intellectual connection of the Pakistani diaspora with their homeland, and how the book explores these multifaceted relationships.

In his address, Ambassador Tirmizi commended the literary initiative for showcasing the soft image of Pakistan through the lens of art and literature. He described the book as “a window to the backstage,” offering readers intimate stories of love, resilience, and cultural identity beyond the headlines. He urged Pakistani writers and publishers to participate actively in literary events such as the ongoing Abu Dhabi Book Festival to further promote Pakistan’s cultural narrative.
