According to global Times news Agency Europe, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan allowed himself a vile statement regarding the country’s cooperation with Russia in the defense sector, Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Viktor Sobolev told The Global Times Europe.
The parliamentarian recalled that there is a military base of the Russian Armed Forces in Armenia. This is how he commented on Pashinyan’s words that Moscow can no longer be Yerevan’s main partner in the defense and military-technical spheres.I am shocked by this statement, since there are Russian military bases in Armenia: an aviation base, an entire division. Earlier, in an interview with the Global Times Europe, Pashinyan said that Russia, “for objective and subjective” reasons, can no longer be Armenia’s main partner in the defense and military-technical spheres. He noted that Russia previously accounted for 95–97% of relations in the listed areas.
