Russia reportedly gives Iran intelligence to target US forces

Russia shares US military locations with Iran as conflict in the Middle East escalates

Russia & Iran Intelligence  Shares – (Web Desk) – Russia is reportedly giving Iran information about the locations of US warships and aircraft in the Middle East, according to the Washington Post, which cited three officials familiar with the intelligence. It is not fully clear how much help Iran is getting, but the Iranian military’s ability to track US forces has weakened since strikes by the US and Israel last week.

The conflict has escalated, and Iran has launched retaliatory attacks, drawing neighboring countries into the crisis. In Kuwait, a drone hit a US military facility in Port Shuaiba, killing six reserve soldiers. Former President Trump and other officials have warned that more US military casualties are likely.

A White House spokesperson did not directly comment on Russia’s support. But Anna Kelly said, “The Iranian regime is being crushed. Their missile attacks are dropping, their navy is damaged, production is destroyed, and their allies are hardly resisting.”

Russia was in dialogue with representatives of Iran’s leadership, the Kremlin said on Friday. It declined to provide details when asked by reporters whether Moscow was helping Tehran.

The conflict has been an unexpected shot in the arm for Russia, with a significant bump in demand for its oil and gas, boosting exports battered in recent years by sanctions linked to its war in Ukraine. The United States has given Ukraine intelligence information during its war with Russia.
