Russia Captures Ukrainian Village of Berezove, Strikes Military Installations
The international community has urged both parties to de-escalate the situation and return to dialogue.
Moscow –Russian forces have claimed control over the village of Berezove in eastern Ukraine following a coordinated military offensive, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The ministry stated that Ukrainian troops were forced to retreat as Russian forces advanced. In addition to capturing the village, Russian forces reportedly targeted Ukrainian military and industrial infrastructure, including arms depots and other strategic installations.
Ukraine, however, has strongly denied Russia’s claims, asserting that its forces remain active on the frontlines and are effectively responding to the attacks.
The recent clashes have further escalated tensions in the region, with civilians bearing the brunt of the ongoing conflict. International media reports indicate significant casualties and material losses on both sides.
