Roots Millennium Education Group and Tech Valley Partner to Empower Youth with Digital Skills

The implementation of the Digital Safar program will unfold in three phases.
Islamabad: In a landmark collaboration, Roots Millennium Education Group and Tech Valley have joined forces to launch the “Digital Safar” program, aimed at empowering over 10,000 young learners across Pakistan with essential digital skills. This pioneering initiative, announced through a press release, marks a significant step towards fostering a safer and more innovative digital environment for the youth.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing ceremony, held at TMUC H-11/4 in Islamabad, witnessed the presence of distinguished representatives from both organizations, including Dr. Faisal Mushtaq, Founder & CEO of Roots Millennium Education Group, and Umar Farooq, CEO of Tech Valley. Digital Safar, leveraging Google’s acclaimed programs – Google CS First and Be Internet Awesome, promises a holistic educational experience encompassing coding and online safety.
Umar Farooq, expressing his excitement, emphasized the importance of equipping youth with digital literacy and promoting responsible online behavior in today’s digital landscape. He stated, “This initiative will empower them to become confident and responsible digital citizens.”
Dr. Faisal Mushtaq echoed these sentiments, highlighting Roots Millennium Education Group’s commitment to preparing learners for future success. He remarked, “The Digital Safar program perfectly aligns with our mission by providing learners and educators with the tools they need to thrive in the digital age.”
The implementation of the Digital Safar program will unfold in three phases. Initially, Tech Valley will conduct training sessions for Master Trainers from all Roots Millennium Education campuses. These Master Trainers will then impart knowledge to computer science teachers, who will subsequently organize awareness sessions and training modules for learners in Grades 5-8 across all Roots Millennium Education Group campuses nationwide.

Looking ahead, Tech Valley and Roots Millennium Education Group envision deepening their collaboration by introducing and promoting Google for Education tools and technologies within Roots Millennium Schools. This initiative aims to equip learners with cutting-edge learning tools, positioning them for success in today’s classrooms and preparing them for the future of education.
