Karachi -(Special Correspondent/Web desk) In 2025 alone, Karachi has recorded 536 traffic-related deaths, police revealed on Sunday, with 60 fatalities linked to truck accidents. The city’s roads have become increasingly dangerous, often leading to deadly crashes and angry mobs targeting the vehicles involved. The latest tragedy occurred on Rashid Minhas Road, where siblings Mahnoor, 22, and Ahmed Raza, 14, lost their lives after being hit by a dumper. The grief-stricken crowd at the scene set at least seven dumpers ablaze in protest.Brother, Sister crushed to death by speeding dumper in Karachi

Accidents involving dumpers have killed 20 people in 2025, while water tankers caused 44 deaths and oil tankers were responsible for six more fatalities.
The police added that 15 people died in van collisions, five in jeep crashes, and 58 in car accidents this year. Out of the total lives lost, 51 were women.

This ongoing crisis has fueled demands for stricter enforcement of traffic laws and urgent improvements to Karachi’s road infrastructure to help prevent further tragedies.
