Mohammad Rizwan’s composed response once again demonstrated why he is admired not only for his cricketing skills but also for his conduct and values, setting a powerful example in the world of international cricket.

It is pertinent to mention that earlier in a surprising incident during the Big Bash League (BBL), Melbourne Renegades captain Will Sutherland called Pakistan’s wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan off the field for “slow batting,” effectively retiring him out.

The unusual event took place on Monday in the 33rd match of the 15th edition of the BBL, when Melbourne Renegades were playing against Sydney Thunder. Rizwan was at the crease on 26 runs off 23 balls when the captain instructed him to leave the field so that he could bat in his place.

A video shared by the BBL on social media showed Sutherland signaling Rizwan to return to the pavilion. Commentators during the match praised the decision, saying it should have been done earlier.
