Riphah University Awards 2,860 Degrees at Grand 20th Convocation in Islamabad
Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan commended the students’ hard work and acknowledged the support of their families.
Islamabad — Riphah International University inaugurated the first day of its 20th Convocation at the Islamabad Convention Centre with an atmosphere of celebration and pride. Over the two-day event, a total of 2,860 students will receive their degrees, marking a significant milestone in their academic journeys. Newly enrolled Palestinian students were also in attendance, adding to the ceremony’s spirit of international solidarity.
The convocation was graced by Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, who attended as the chief guest. He was joined by Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad, senior faculty members, graduates, and their families.

Addressing the gathering, Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Anis Ahmad congratulated the graduating students and emphasized Riphah’s growing national and international impact. He highlighted the university’s expanding student exchange initiatives and its commitment to ethical and character-based education. “My prayer is that our graduates play an active role in every field of life and continue to make the nation proud,” he said.
Chancellor Hassan Muhammad Khan commended the students’ hard work and acknowledged the support of their families. “You are the future of Pakistan, and it is your responsibility to take the country forward,” he remarked.
Chief Guest Sardar Muhammad Yousaf praised the graduates for their academic accomplishments and expressed optimism about their future contributions to society. He also highlighted the presence of a substantial number of Palestinian students, noting that their enrollment reflects Riphah’s increasing global recognition.
The ceremony celebrated not only academic excellence but also the university’s dedication to moral education, character-building, and international collaboration. The convocation marked another milestone in Riphah International University’s mission to nurture the next generation of responsible and visionary leaders.
