Islamabad: Individuals seeking employment abroad will now be required to register on the newly introduced “Pak Skills” platform. Without registration, passports will not be issued a protector stamp.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has launched the “Pak Skills” initiative to reduce the risks of human trafficking. The new system will come into effect on November 19, and registration on the Pak Skills app will be completely free.
Applicants aiming to work overseas must provide their personal details, including their CNIC and passport numbers, educational qualifications, and employment information related to foreign jobs.
No protector will be issued without a valid “Pak Skills” certificate. This step aims to curb human trafficking and ensure the safety of Pakistanis seeking employment abroad.

It is worth mentioning that earlier, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had also introduced new regulations for Pakistanis traveling abroad for employment. Under the new rule, travelers must submit an affidavit signed by a senior government officer (Grade 18 or 19), confirming that they will only work at their designated job location and will not attempt to enter Europe illegally.
