Today Pakistan Red Crescent Society Under its Media and communication Program has established Communication Support Network in District Poonch.
Rawalakot: (Staff Reporter) A meeting in this regard was held at Deputy Commissioner Office Rawalakot. The meeting was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner/Chairman Pakistan Red Crescent Society Rawalakot Chapter. The main purpose of the meeting was to nominate the focal person from district Rawalakot and to ameliorate the working relationship with stakeholders. The vice chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society Sardar Aurangzeb also attended the meeting. Besides, Senior Superintendent of Police Rawalakot Kamran Khan and stakeholders from government departments were also present in the meeting.
Furthermore while chairing the Communication Support Network Meeting the Deputy Commissioner Syed Mumtaz Kazmi congratulated the vice chairman for assuming the charge as vice chairman of Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK and applauded the efforts of Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK.
“Keeping in view the need and importance of humanitarian actions in district Rawalakot land will be provided to Pakistan Red Crescent Society for the construction of office building in the district,” he added
Speaking about the coordinating efforts the Deputy Commissioner has said that we further need to enhance our coordination for timely response.
According to the source, “In order to coup any emergency or disaster, quick response force will be established in the district”, he said. The deputy commissioner has further said that data of all active and available volunteers from organizations must be provided to district administration for deployment of volunteers at union council’s levels.
While talking about the devastating earthquake of 2005, the deputy commissioner has also announced that in district Poonch volunteer’s conference will be held on 8th October 2022.
Earlier the spokesperson of Pakistan Red Crescent Society AJK State Branch Adnan Qureshi gave detail presentation about the Red Cross and Red Crescent History, fundamental principles and ongoing program of PRCS AJK.
In the meeting District Liaison Officer Poonch Ejaz Naqi, District First Aid Trainer Sadia Gardezi and First Aid Responders were also present.
