Recover more than Rs3billion from electricity thieves,Power Division

The power division has recovered more than Rs3billion from electricity thieves across the country during a recent crackdown,

According to the power division secretary, more than Rs2billion has been recovered in the past two days and the total amount recovered only yesterday was Rs1744800000.

He said that 647 thieves have been arrested to date whereas 6172 FIRs have been filed against them.

Till yesterday, 5193 FIRs were filed against the criminals.
