Rawal Dam Spillway to be Opened as Water Level Rises
Islamabad: (Mudassar Iqbal) – The authorities have announced the opening of Rawal Dam’s spillway after the water level reached 1749.40 feet at 8:00 AM this morning.
In a precautionary move to manage the rising water level and prevent any overflow, the spillway will be opened at 11:00 AM today.
Residents living in low-lying areas and those near Korang River and downstream locations are advised to remain alert and take necessary safety precautions.

The administration has urged the public to stay away from the spillway and adjoining areas during this period to avoid any untoward incidents. Emergency response teams are on standby to handle any situation that may arise.
