ISLAMABAD: Skywatchers are in for a spectacular treat this evening, October 23, as a thin crescent moon aligns with the planets Mars and Mercury, creating a rare and beautiful cosmic trio. This captivating celestial event will be visible just after sunset along the southwestern horizon.
Experts say the moon will be only 6% illuminated and positioned about five degrees away from the setting sun. Mars and Mercury will appear very close together, forming a striking lineup in the evening sky.
If skies remain clear, this stunning astronomical phenomenon can be seen with the naked eye, though binoculars or a telescope will provide a more detailed and impressive view.
