The event was organized by the CPO Safe City/Traffic in recognition of their exemplary dedication and commitment to their duties. The newly promoted officers were acknowledged and congratulated by CPO Safe City/Traffic and DSP Safe City.
Following the special directives of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the process of departmental promotions is currently underway within the Islamabad Police.
The CPO Safe City/Traffic, in line with this initiative, organized the prestigious ceremony to honor the promotion of nine officers. The promoted officers include one Inspector, four Sub-Inspectors and four Assistant Sub-Inspectors, who belong from wireless staff and Traffic Police.
Addressing the officers during the ceremony, the CPO Safe City/Traffic emphasized the increased responsibilities that accompany their new ranks. He highlighted the clear directives issued by the IG Islamabad to ensure that promotions continue to be granted for all vacant positions.
The CPO Safe City/Traffic expressed that their well-deserved promotions are a testament to their hard work and unwavering efforts. With their elevation in rank, they have been entrusted with greater responsibilities than ever before.

The CPO Safe City/Traffic encouraged the newly promoted officers to fulfill their duties with utmost dedication, upholding the reputation of their department and striving for the betterment of the police force.
Eight drug peddlers arrested; huge cache of drugs recovered
According to the details, following the special directives of the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has launched a special “Nasha Ab Nahi” tehreek to eradicate narcotics and keep the youngsters safe from the curse of drugs, public relations officers said.
He said that, during the last 24 hours, the Islamabad Police apprehended eight drug peddlers from different areas of the city and recovered a huge cache of drugs from their possession.
Following these directions, the Kohsar police team arrested three accused namely Riaz, Nawazish and Usama and recovered 1,050 gram heroin and 15 bottles of wine from their possession.
Similarly, the Sumbal police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Fahad and recovered 40 gram Ice from his possession. The Kirpa police team arrested an accused namely Muhammad Waqas and Waqas Banaris and recovered 112 gram heroin from their possession.
Moreover, the Phulgran police team arrested an accused namely Noman and recovered 530 gram heroin and 100 gram ice from his possession. The Shahzad Town police team arrested an accused namely Hayat Ur Rehman and recovered 625 gram heroin from his possession.
Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari, directed the police officers to further intensify the crackdown against the criminal elements.
“Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard”, he maintained.
Two members of criminal gangs held; valuables and weapons recovered
Islamabad Police Aabpara police teams arrested two wanted members of snatcher and bike lifter gangs involved in numerous snatching and bike theft activities and recovered snatched mobile phones, valuables, motorbike and weapon used in crime from their possession, a public relations officer said.
He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Aabpara police team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending two wanted members of the snatcher and bike lifter gang involved in numerous snatching and theft activities. The accused were identified as Adnan and Azam.
Police team also recovered snatched mobile phones, cash, valuables, motorbike and weapon used in crime from their possession. Cases have been registered against the accused and further investigation is underway.
DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in criminal activities and ensured the safety of lives and property of citizens on priority basis.
