Sohail Ashraf Takes Charge as Islamabad's New Chief Commissioner After Randhawa's Sudden Exit
Islamabad – (Web Desk) – The federal government on Wednesday made a significant administrative reshuffle, transferring senior bureaucrat Muhammad Ali Randhawa from his dual role as Chairman of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) and Chief Commissioner Islamabad.
The Cabinet Division formally issued the notification, directing Randhawa to report to the Establishment Division following his transfer.
In a major administrative change, the federal government has shuffled key positions in Islamabad’s top leadership.
On Wednesday, the Cabinet Division issued an official notification transferring Muhammad Ali Randhawa, who was serving as both CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad.
He has now been asked to report to the Establishment Division, marking the end of his tenure overseeing the federal capital’s administration.

Pakistan Administrative Service, Grade 20 Lieutenant (retd) Sohail Ashraf has been appointed as the new Chief Commissioner Islamabad.
Sohail Ashraf was posted as Secretary Communication Works, Punjab Government. The Establishment Division has issued official notifications of appointments and transfers.
