Rana criticizes PTI for training people to damage public property
Imran’s stay in PM office a bad experience for nation: Khawaja Asif
Minister for Interior Rana Sanaullah on Tuesday criticized Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) for training dozens of people to damage public property and targeting security institutions.
Islamabad_Talking to a private news channel, Rana Sanaullah said that involving Afghan people in ransacking public property was a matter of serious concern. He said the government will take action against the lawbreakers.
The minister said the punishment would be awarded to those who found guilty of a crime. He said Imran Khan’s party had trained the people a year back for attacking public and security places.
He said that planning was made by the PTI well before time to attack security and public institutions and added that some people who are guilty of criminal acts had been apprehended by the investigation departments.
In reply to a question, he accused Imran’s party of evolving strategy before coming into power for spreading anarchy in this country. “We will not spare any law violators,” he warned.
To a question about the number of people arrested by police during the investigation, he said, some 43 people were trained by PTI to spread unrest in Lahore areas.
He further stated that around 50 to 100 people were given training to attack sensitive places and public property and a number of people involved in May 9 attacks had been arrested by police.

Minister for Defense Khawaja Muhammad Asif on Tuesday said Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s stay in the Prime Minister’s Office was a bad experience for the entire nation.
Imran Khan as the prime minister had adopted an undemocratic attitude towards national institutions, he said while talking to a private television channel.
He said his party’s leadership had used derogatory language against the heads of national institutions, and even his own track record in this regard was present in the shape of speeches and addresses in public meetings.
On May 9, the PTI workers and supporters resorted to rioting, arson and damaging public property and targeting security organizations.
The government would take all necessary measures to punish both the instigators and perpetrators of violence, he added.
He said the PTI workers involved in sabotaging peace and destroying public property were arrested through the help of social media.
To a question about the Parliament, he said fine and imprisonment would be rewarded to those who would be found guilty of insulting the institution. He called for improvement in the judicial system.
To another question about conducting elections in 90 days, he said it had been written in the Constitution that elections should be held simultaneously in the country.
