Rajinikanth Hospitalized in Chennai for Stomach Issues

Superstar scheduled for elective cardiac procedure; fans and politicians send well-wishes.

Veteran Indian actor Rajinikanth was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai on the night of September 30 due to stomach-related issues.

The 73-year-old star is reportedly in stable condition.

Sources from the hospital revealed that Rajinikanth is set to undergo an elective cardiac procedure on Tuesday, which will be carried out by interventional cardiologist Dr. Sai Satish in the hospital’s cardiac cath lab.

Fans and well-wishers are anxiously waiting for updates on his condition.

The actor had recently been filming his latest project, “Coolie,” directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj in Visakhapatnam, before returning to Chennai for the audio launch of another movie, “Vettaiyan,” which is scheduled to release on October 10.

Rajinikanth was seen in high spirits at the event, even joining in on a dance performance.

His hospitalization has sparked concern among his dedicated fans, with many offering prayers and messages of support. Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also extended his best wishes for the actor’s speedy recovery, along with other notable figures from the film industry, including actor R Sarath Kumar.

Rajinikanth’s latest release, “Jailer,” was a massive box office hit, adding to his celebrated career. His upcoming movie, “Vettaiyan,” is eagerly anticipated and is expected to be one of the year’s big releases.
