New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals Face Match-Fixing Allegations After Narrow Defeat to Lucknow Super Giants
Following a narrow 2-run defeat to Lucknow Super Giants, inaugural IPL champions Rajasthan Royals have found themselves at the center of fresh match-fixing allegations.
According to Indian media reports, Jaideep Bahari, the head of the Rajasthan Cricket Association, has accused the Rajasthan Royals of match-fixing. He also expressed disappointment over his committee’s lack of control over the team’s actions during the IPL.
“Even children could tell the match against Lucknow was fixed. How can you lose a match at your home ground when just a few runs are needed?” Bahari questioned.

In response, a spokesperson for the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the formation of a special committee to investigate the matter. “We are taking this issue very seriously. If the allegations are proven, strict action will be taken,” the spokesperson said.
It is worth noting that the Rajasthan Royals lost to Lucknow Super Giants by just 2 runs in a recent IPL match.
