Rain, snowfall expected in northern and central parts from today
Meanwhile, the PMD has predicted dust storms and strong winds in upper Sindh.
ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast rain, snowfall on mountains, and hailstorms in the northern and central parts of the country from today until March 27.
Both Islamabad and Rawalpindi are likely to experience rainfall accompanied by strong winds, while snowfall is expected in Gilgit-Baltistan’s Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Hunza, Gilgit, Ghanche, and Shigar districts.
In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, rain is predicted in Rawalakot, Poonch, Hattian, Bagh, Kotli, Bhimber, and Mirpur, whereas Neelum Valley and Muzaffarabad might receive both rain and snowfall.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is also expected to receive rainfall, particularly in Peshawar, Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Bajaur, Charsadda, Waziristan, Kohat, Karak, Lakki Marwat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan.

In Punjab, rain is likely in Murree, Galyat, Attock, Chakwal, Lahore, Faisalabad, Jhelum, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, Sialkot, Narowal, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Khanewal, Muzaffargarh, Sargodha, Mianwali, and Bhakkar.
Several areas of Balochistan, including Zhob, Chaman, Pishin, Killa Abdullah, Barkhan, Quetta, Ziarat, Sibi, and Khuzdar, are also likely to experience rainfall.
Meanwhile, the PMD has predicted dust storms and strong winds in upper Sindh.
