Rain-Hit Pakistan vs India U19 Match Delayed
Both teams entered the contest with winning starts to their campaigns and two points each.
DUBAI: The highly anticipated Under-19 Asia Cup match between traditional rivals Pakistan and India was delayed due to rain, with Pakistan eventually winning the toss and opting to field.
Persistent rain and a wet outfield delayed the toss of the fifth match of the tournament, which was originally scheduled for 9:30 am. Once conditions improved, Pakistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. Notably, the two captains did not shake hands during the toss.
Speaking after the toss, Pakistan Under-19 captain Farhan Yousuf said there was no pressure going into the match and added that the team would focus on restricting India to a low total.
