Quetta Bolan Triumphs in SAF National Physical Disability Grade 2 T20 Cricket Championship Opener

Karachi (Sports Reporter)– The Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) National Physical Disability Grade 2 T20 Cricket Championship kicked off with an impressive victory for the Quetta Bolan Physical Disability Team. The match, held at the IT University Cricket Ground, saw Quetta Bolan defeating Larkana PD by seven wickets, marking a strong start to the tournament.
In a thrilling contest, Larkana PD, making their debut in the championship, posted a competitive total of 158 runs. Zakir Ali led the charge with an aggressive 48 runs off 21 balls, featuring nine boundaries. Ahmed Qureshi also contributed significantly with 36 runs off 24 balls.
However, Larkana’s middle and lower order struggled, with seven batters failing to reach double figures.
Quetta Bolan’s Tanveer Ahmed delivered a devastating spell, claiming four wickets for just 15 runs.
His efforts were complemented by all-rounder Allauddin, who also took four wickets for 25 runs, restricting Larkana to a manageable total.
In response, Quetta Bolan chased down the target in 19 overs, scoring 161 runs for the loss of three wickets. Amir Habib anchored the innings with a solid 45 runs off 40 balls, including five boundaries. Allauddin continued his stellar performance, remaining unbeaten on 32 runs with five fours. Noorullah and Sirajuddin contributed 30 and 20 runs respectively, with notable boundary hits.
Allauddin’s all-round brilliance earned him the Player of the Match award, which was presented by the Chief Guest, General Secretary of the Quetta Region Cricket Association, Haji Abdul Malik Ajakzai. In his address, Haji Abdul Malik expressed his gratitude and commitment to supporting the Pakistan Physical Disability Cricket Association (PPDCA), emphasizing Quetta region’s readiness to assist in promoting PD cricket across Pakistan.
