Lahore (ASIF IQBAL ) A high-level delegation of American businessmen called on Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, in the Punjab Assembly Chamber. Prominent personalities from the business communities of Pakistan and the United States participated in the meeting. On this occasion, a detailed exchange of views was held regarding further strengthening Pak–US trade relations.
Special emphasis was laid on the promotion of business-to-business linkages and effective coordination.
Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, stated that Pakistan and the United States are fully committed to the promotion of trade cooperation. He further stated that both countries are prepared to take their bilateral relations to new heights.

The Speaker emphasized that the immediate resolution of the issues faced by the business communities of Pakistan and the United States is indispensable. He stated that Pak–US relations are based on mutual trust and strategic partnership. The Speaker of the Punjab Assembly stated that the Pakistani-American community is playing the role of a strong bridge between the two countries.
On this occasion, Mohsin Ranjha, David Scott, Dana Lloyd and William Paul, Christina Jane, Michael Berkeley, Dr. Rubina and Ashrah Mal, Secretary General Chaudhry Amer Habib, and Principal Secretary Amad Hussain Bhalli were also present in the meeting.
