Punjab Revises School Timings for Winter Season Starting October 16

LAHORE – The Punjab government has announced revised school hours for all public and private educational institutions across the province, effective from October 16, 2025, to March 31, 2026, in response to seasonal changes during the winter months.

According to the new schedule:

• Single-shift boys’ schools will operate from 8:45 AM to 2:45 PM, Monday through Thursday, with Fridays ending early at 12:30 PM.

• Single-shift girls’ schools will run from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM on weekdays, and close at 12:15 PM on Fridays.

For institutions running double shifts:

• Boys’ morning sessions will be held from 8:45 AM to 12:45 PM (Monday–Thursday) and until 12:30 PM on Fridays, while afternoon shifts will operate from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on Fridays.

• Girls’ morning shifts will run from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM (Monday–Thursday), closing at 12:15 PM on Fridays. Afternoon classes will be conducted from 12:45 PM to 4:45 PM on weekdays and 1:45 PM to 4:45 PM on Fridays.

The revised timings are intended to ensure a more comfortable and efficient academic routine during colder months, and schools have been directed to implement the changes from the specified date.
