PTI to stage protest outside Governor House on Dec 22

Lahore_Punjab government spokesperson Musarrat Jamshed Cheema has accused the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) leadership and military organizations of being involved in horse trading,

“Our women MPAs have been offered Rs5 billion, the spokesperson said while talking to the media at Zaman Park.

Flanked by members of the provincial assembly, she said the Rs5 billion offer is being made to change loyalty.

The spokesperson added “Self-proclaimed neutrals are engaged in political maneuvering. Despite the declaration of being apolitical, interference in political matters from within the army is a condemnable act.

“The PDM leaders are present in Lahore. However, their dream of overthrowing the Punjab government won’t come true. The military leadership took notice of the matter to make the state organ apolitical. “Meanwhile PTI leader Hammad Azhar has announced a protest outside the Governor House on December 22 (tomorrow) at 5 pm,

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has decided to hold a meeting outside the Governor House tomorrow and all the workers have been instructed to show up at the venue, he said.

The assemblies will be dissolved after the failure of the no-confidence motion, he said adding that people from all walks of life should join the PTI protest to get rid of illegal actions.

Now there will be no governor’s rule but people’s rule, he stressed.  “Tomorrow, Imran Khan will make an important announcement in front of the Governor House.”

Former federal information minister Fawad Ch said the Punjab Assembly speaker wrote a letter to President Arif Alvi over the governor’s misconduct.

The Punjab governor in his order of December 19 had directed the chief minister to take a vote of confidence from the assembly on December 21. According to PA Speaker Sibtain Khan, the governor’s order was illegal and unconstitutional.
