Islamabad: Punjab Police conducted a raid on the residence of National Assembly opposition leader Umar Ayub in an attempt to arrest him, only to find that he was not at home at the time.
In a Twitter message, Umar Ayub revealed that the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Sargodha had issued a bailable warrant for his arrest. He stated that police from Islamabad and Mianwali had raided his house in a desperate bid to apprehend him.
“The raiders have shown that there is no rule of law in the country,” Ayub declared, asserting that their struggle will persist until PTI founder Imran Khan is reinstated as prime minister.
