Punjab Police Procures 21 Bulletproof Vehicles for Officer Safety

LAHORE: In a move aimed at enhancing the safety of law enforcement officers, the Punjab Police has acquired 21 bulletproof single-cabin vehicles for officers stationed in high-risk areas across the province. This initiative is part of broader efforts to equip the police force with secure and reliable resources for sensitive operations.

Each vehicle, costing Rs9.1 million, contributes to a total expenditure of Rs192 million for the 21 vehicles. The vehicles will be distributed to the officers once the bulletproofing process is completed.

Furthermore, the Punjab Police is planning to purchase an additional 52 bulletproof vehicles to further strengthen security for officers in challenging operational zones, ensuring that they have the necessary protection to carry out their duties effectively.
