Punjab Minister Denies Alleged Rape at Lahore College, Inquiry Underway
Azma Bokhari claims no evidence found, inquiry report expected within 48 hours.

Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari stated that the reported rape of a female student at a private college in Lahore has not been confirmed, and emphasized that an inquiry committee will present its findings within 48 hours.
Bokhari criticized political opponents for spreading misinformation, accusing them of using social media to stir unrest.
Speaking during a Punjab Assembly session, Bokhari stressed that no evidence has yet been found to back up the allegations and urged against using students for political purposes.
“Students from schools and colleges are being exploited for political agendas, which must be avoided,” she said.
The student’s father also dismissed the allegations, explaining that his daughter had recently suffered a fall down the stairs, and called on the public not to jump to conclusions.
Protests erupted at the college after news of the alleged incident spread, leading to clashes between students and police. Bokhari confirmed that 24 students and four policemen were injured in the confrontation.
