LAHORE: (Web Desk) – Punjab’s Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has taken firm steps to tackle cheating ahead of the Class 9 Mathematics exam, ordering strict monitoring across key districts.
To prevent malpractice, the minister announced the formation of multiple inspection squads and issued a clear warning to cheating networks to stay away from examination centers or face serious consequences.
According to officials, at least 10 covert monitoring teams have been deployed across South Punjab to conduct surprise checks during the exam. These teams are already active in areas such as Rajanpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and Bahawalnagar.
Rana Sikandar Hayat also indicated that he may personally carry out unannounced visits to any district to ensure transparency and discipline throughout the examination process.

He urged students to remain focused and avoid being influenced by any external pressure, emphasizing that their hard work should not be compromised by dishonest practices.
The minister stressed that protecting the rights of students is a top priority and warned that anyone involved in cheating—whether students or facilitators—will face strict accountability.
He concluded by reiterating that maintaining fairness and transparency in examinations is non-negotiable, and no negligence will be tolerated under any circumstances.
