Punjab Launches CM IT Internship Program with Rs50,000 Monthly Stipend
Under the program, selected graduates will undergo a five-month internship and receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000.
ISLAMABAD: The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the CM IT Internship Program as part of her vision for a “Digital Punjab.”
The initiative is designed to equip IT and Computer Science graduates with practical, industry-relevant skills by providing them hands-on experience at leading IT companies and software houses across the province.
Under the program, selected graduates will undergo a five-month internship and receive a monthly stipend of Rs50,000. The project aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and the professional world, helping young professionals gain real-world exposure to cutting-edge technologies.

Eligible candidates — IT and Computer Science graduates with a four-year degree from Punjab — can apply online at cmitinterns.punjab.gov.pk.
Speaking about the initiative, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif said, “We are transforming Punjab into an IT hub, connecting our youth with modern technology and opening new avenues for progress. The Nawaz Sharif IT City will be a game-changer for Pakistan’s digital future.”
The program is being hailed as a major step toward building a skilled digital workforce, supporting the government’s mission to make Pakistan a leading player in the global tech industry.
