Punjab Launches Climate Leadership Internship to Combat Smog

Lahore: The Chief Minister Climate Leadership Development Internship Program has been launched in Punjab, spearheaded by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif under the “My Punjab Smog Free” campaign. This initiative aims to implement sustainable environmental improvements.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz emphasized the need for collective efforts to address the persistent issue of smog. The program encourages recent graduates to participate in community service initiatives as part of the Smog Free Punjab Initiative. Eligible candidates are those who have completed their degrees in the last two years.

“The Chief Minister Punjab Climate Leadership Development Internship Program offers interns a monthly stipend of 25,000 PKR,” stated Maryam Nawaz. “This program provides a platform for community service and environmental protection.”

Registration for the Climate Leadership Development Internship Program is open until July 20, 2024. Participants aged 18 to 25 who complete the internship will receive a community service certificate from the Environment Protection Department and the Punjab Higher Education Commission.
