ISLAMABAD (Staff Reporter) – The government of Punjab has given police full authorization to shoot miscreants entering government buildings, in a move aimed at ensuring public safety and order. This announcement was made by Interim Chief Minister Mohsin Raza Naqvi, who stated that those who disrupt peace and order should be dealt with “iron hands”.
In a similar vein, the Islamabad police have been granted additional powers and ordered to shoot at any miscreants and terrorists coming towards the police line, checkpoints, or police station.
This comes after Islamabad police IG Dr Akbar Nasir Khan issued an order to remove all containers placed in the city following the implementation of Section 245 in the federal capital.
In a statement, Dr Akbar Nasir Khan said that all possible steps would be taken to maintain law and order, and that no one would be allowed to take the law into their own hands. This decision has been taken to ensure the safety of the public and to deter any potential threats.

Meanwhile,
GHQ has released photographs of those who attacked the military’s office.
According to sources, 14 people, including four women, were involved in the violent protests. Of them, nine of them are residents of Rawalpindi, three are from Islamabad, one from Karachi and one from Chakwal.
They said that the process of identification of more than 300 people were involved in the violent protests has been completed.
Now those who have been identified would be arrested soon, they added. After the arrest of Imran Khan on May 9 in Islamabad, PTI workers attacked and vandalized the GHQ.
Earlier,
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s violent protests in Islamabad on May 9 have caused a loss of billions to the national treasury.
As per an assessment, government property worth Rs250 million was destroyed over three days of violent protests in the federal capital.

Moreover, 12 cars and 34 motorcycles as well as the office of the Industrial Area SP were burnt to ashes.
The Tarnol, Sangjani and Ramna police stations were also attacked by armed protesters.
Eleven FC personnel and 71 police officers and officials were injured in the violence.
Furthermore, 26 cases have been registered against the culprits and 564 people arrested.
Following the violent protests, arson and vandalism by supporters of the PTI workers after the arrest of Imran Khan, the number of criminals arrested in the last five days in Punjab has reached 3,185,
According to the Punjab government, more than 300 culprits who attacked the Corps Commander House (Jinnah House) have been arrested, while the process of profiling more than 300 others has also been completed.
The Punjab Police spokesman claimed the identification of the culprits is under way with the help of social media accounts and CCTV footage.
