Punjab Imposes Strict Document Rules for Teacher Transfers

The department stressed that it will only accept applications supported by genuine documents.

LAHORE: The Punjab School Education Department has introduced strict new conditions to make the teacher transfer process more transparent, particularly for those applying under hardship grounds.

According to the department, only applicants who submit original and verified documents will qualify for transfers. Teachers applying under hardship must now provide a NADRA-issued Family Registration Certificate (FRC) and, where applicable, an official divorce certificate.

For transfers requested on medical grounds, applicants must submit an authentic medical certificate issued by Services Hospital. Widowed teachers must provide an original death certificate to qualify for transfer.
